# Asset attribution and licenses

The application uses original editorial design, short factual incident summaries with linked evidence, and team logos identifying each driver's historical team. No NBA or F1 broadcast footage, music, satellite imagery or commercial map tiles are embedded. The red, white and black visual design is original and uses the bundled fonts.

## Circuit geometry

The following reference SVGs are included unmodified in `assets/reference/`. Lightweight route points and turn anchors in `data/layouts.json` are adaptations: paths were sampled, coordinates normalized, labels restyled, decorative source artwork removed, and source-backed incident markers added. Normalization is schematic, not a geographic registration.

## Fonts

The title uses the official F1 mark and Formula1 Bold webfont obtained from Formula1.com. Sources and rights notices are recorded in [`data/brand.json`](../data/brand.json). These proprietary assets are excluded from the project's MIT and CC licenses; public website delivery does not grant an open redistribution license.

Local font files keep the project independent of Google Fonts network availability. SIL Open Font License files are included alongside the fonts in `assets/fonts/`:

- Barlow Condensed Bold — Jeremy Tribby and contributors; `BARLOW-OFL.txt`.
- Inter Regular — Rasmus Andersson and contributors; `INTER-OFL.txt`.
- IBM Plex Mono Regular — IBM and contributors; `IBM-PLEX-OFL.txt`.

## Team identities and logos

[`data/driver-teams.json`](../data/driver-teams.json) verifies every year/driver pairing against that Singapore weekend's results. [`data/team-logos.json`](../data/team-logos.json) records each logo's source and separate copyright, trademark or license status. Historical rebrands remain distinct; some continuing teams use a current same-brand badge rather than the exact period sponsor lockup. Logos identify teams and do not imply endorsement.

## Landmark geography

Landmark address points come from Singapore Land Authority [OneMap](https://www.onemap.gov.sg/). Circuit alignment uses [OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright) data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, under ODbL. [`data/landmarks.json`](../data/landmarks.json) contains source URLs, coordinates, seven alignment controls, per-era affine transforms and residual errors. The six detailed SVG illustrations in `assets/landmarks/` are original artwork. Official architectural references and design notes are recorded in [`data/landmark-artwork.json`](../data/landmark-artwork.json). Coordinates are projected into each historical schematic; icon placement preserves geographic context without claiming surveyed accuracy. Marina Bay Sands is located south of the circuit. Its illustration is pulled toward the track for a compact composition. Its geographic anchor is retained in the data; at the user's request, its connector and anchor mark are omitted from the graphic. Fullerton and Esplanade use shorter illustration callouts to keep their architecture clear of the route. These illustration offsets never move crash points or geographic source coordinates.

## Incident evidence

Every counted incident links to its evidence in `data/incidents.json` and `data/incidents.csv`. Factual summaries were written for the ledger; the original articles, videos and reports retain their owners' rights. Source material is not sublicensed by this project. Contemporary reporting supplements primary F1, FIA, team and promoter material where older official archives are incomplete.

## Software and encoding

Application source is covered by the root MIT `LICENSE`. Development tools and installed dependencies retain their own licenses. The exported first cut is silent. The ffmpeg executable is a development dependency and is not embedded into the application or delivered project source.
